Outpatient Therapy Services

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care with an emphasis toward individual, personalized service.

Our highly qualified therapists will perform a thorough evaluation to identify the source of your condition and tailor an individualized program to fit your needs. Our therapists are up-to-date on the most current techniques and evidence-based practices. We have proven that the road to improved health does not always have to be a long one.
We strive to control the cost of therapy by reducing the number of visits necessary for recovery. With our dedication to quality and continuity of care, and an emphasis on outcomes, we have set ourselves apart in providing outpatient therapy services.

Newman Therapy Services is operated by Mathis Rehab Centers, LLC in partnership with Newman Regional Health.

Outpatient therapy services include:

Physical Therapy
Broadly, physical therapy involves the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of “movement dysfunctions”. PT’s examine patients and develop treatment plans that employ techniques that promote mobility, pain reduction, functional restoration, and disability prevention. In addition, PT’s work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

Occupational Therapy
In its simplest terms, occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations).

Speech Therapy
Speech-language pathologists assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders. Speech-language pathologists work with people who cannot make speech sounds, or cannot make them clearly; those with speech rhythm and fluency problems, such as stuttering; people with voice quality problems, such as inappropriate pitch or harsh voice; those with problems understanding and producing language; those who wish to improve their communication skills by modifying an accent; and those with cognitive communication impairments, such as attention, memory, and problem solving disorders. They also work with people who have oral motor problems causing eating and swallowing difficulties.
